How can you tell if a man acting out of jealousy, or protection when he is being territorial over you to other men? Especially if you are not dating?

A coworker (let's call him Levi) and I have confessed feelings toward one another but then shortly after that, he rejected me because he doesn't date people from work. I got angry at him for wasting my time pursuing me & leading me on & expressed that to him. We stopped talking and flirting with each other after that but, now that I have another coworker (let's call him Greg) who likes me (this guy follows me around everywhere and won't leave me alone, it quite annoying), I think Levi has developed a dislike to Greg which is so confusing because Levi & I don't communicate to each other like we used to anymore. One time, when Greg kept trying to call me and I answered & Levi yelled in the background to me alone. Levi has also acted passive-aggressive toward Greg even though Levi & I are not together & probably never will be... men, why is Levi being this way? Is he just being territorial? Why would he be territorial when he rejected me?
