Iron man said it’s good to listen to people. I don't know if he’s lying. I just met him at work. But what should I do just assume he’s lying? I’m not sure what he’s get from lying about this stuff

Pretty simple: attention. Besides, a ince when does someone need a reason to lie? There are few things I've learned through experience that I consider absolutes. One is my favorite quotes is "A lion 🦁 never has to tell anyone he is a lion"
It means if someone feels the need to consistently tell you how rich/smart/talented/good looking/etc they are, then they are a joke. It tells me that they are either horribly insecure or a liar. They immediately get zero respect or credibility from me, and I wouldn't trust them to watch my houseplant. I have NEVER been wrong about this. People who are truly special or great do not point it out, they have humility.

I get what you mean. People do lie for seemingly no reason. I just think it takes a real lack of character to be lying especially about dumb stuff or completely unnecessarily. It’s so weird.
And yapping for attention? I thought the stereotype is that women are the attention seekers typically. Guess I didn’t really think guys would be acting stupid for attentions sake. Sounds really weird.

You’re right. He always finds a way to mention his problems and weird plans for the future. At first I was giving him advice for certain things assuming that’s why he was talking about this stuff. But he doesn’t seem to value it because he comes right back discussing the same issues and plans again, as if I’m his doctor or parent and need updates on his situation.
