What does it mean when a guy holds out his arms for a hug?

When I met the guy who plays Ren at footloose afterwards he held his arms out for a hug and looked at me he said to me to enjoy the rest of my night too ☺️

He's looking for a hug. Maybe as friends maybe as wanting more.

You hugged him back. Based on how tight that hug was and how long it lasted, you should be able to figure out if it was just two friends hugging, or a guy and girl wanting more.

I guess it was his way of asking if it's okay to hug you - he just did it with his arms.
You know how society is now a days. Guys are afraid to just go up and hug a lady because she might take it as sexual harassment.

I wouldn't think too much about it though. The next time he see's you he probably won't remember the hug. He's a guy!! 🤷🏼‍♀️

I've always considered a hug to be the accepted protocol for 2 friends of the opposite sex to greet, or when saying goodbye. By asking first it is assumed you are friends following the hug, if you wasn't already.
