He has 'defended' me when my boss has asked something and when coworkes tried to make fun of me. He way also clearly making it visible that he was watching when the office 'creep' should show me something on the computer. Does this mean anything?
So I had a male coworker who did this sort of thing for a while and while I knew we valued each other very much professionally, I hadn't realized that there were some feelings there on his side. (If he has feelings for you and you don't have feelings for him, it's important to make that clear without being overtly blunt due to workplace policies and politics. In my case, I let the fellow down gently by adjusting my tone rather than overtly telling him "This won't happen." Because he's a smart guy and caught on right away.)
Some guys do this WITHOUT having feelings for the woman and are just protective in that brotherly/fatherly sense because they know that some guys are creeps and are trying to just "defend your honor."
