By his tone I can tell that he feels like “I’m doing adult things “…. The way he asks the question is different than just “oh what are you up to after work or what are some things you do after work?

Ok. If he didn’t t then you’d probably complain about it. Men get shafted in a lot of ways for not doing or something or doing something women don’t like. He’s being a father. Do you have a man? I’m thinking no. Maybe you do. But his job is to protect you. Now if you had a man I’d say he wouldn’t do it as much, maybe he still would. He learned that from his father. Men look after those they care about, especially the women regardless of age. Just be happy he’s still alive, that you have a father because one day he will be gone and you’ll miss those text and calls.
