Why do men say women deceive with makeup but also claim to like us without makeup?

If you actually think women look better without makeup, you shouldn’t mind if a woman puts on makeup. It can be a pleasant surprise seeing a more beautiful face without makeup.

Just a gentle touch of makeup will do fine. It's quickly overdone and hence looks unnatural and fake.

Men don’t mind a little makeup. What we do mind is when she looks like bozo the clown. Have you ever seen those videos where a girl was extremely not good looking? Bags under her eyes, pimples, scars, etc. Then someone did her makeup, now all of a sudden she looks like Ms. America. That is the type of deception men don’t like. Some of these videos had women who were missing teeth, but w dentures she look perfect. I don’t mind a little makeup, especially if she uses it to enhance her eyes or her cheeks. Women wearing tons of makeup is like a man wearing shoes w a 4” platform. It’s deceiving.

Funny that nobody can answer your question... I don't think using makeup is deceptive, and I think women can look good with and without it (including heavy makeup), so I also can't answer unfortunately.

Im interested to see if anyone who does think makeup is deceptive will actually answer the question...

I know you find it hard to believe we think you look better without it, but trust me, we do. That said, I understand, with some women, it's a hobby, or form of self expression they don't want to give up. It's okay, there are probably some hobbies of his you don't care for and can't understand. Maybe instead of trying to get him to like it, just explain that YOU like and it makes you feel good. Them once in a while let him see you without it, because that's what HE likes.

When men say that they are lying pure and simple, makeup was invented because it does make you look more attractive. Guys can say it isn't natural, but if we wanted to be "natural" we wouldn't bathe, shave, or wear deodorant either.

That's the point, it's not more beautiful. This girl I like looks so fake and made up with false lashes and dark lipstick, but sometimes she comes in with hardly any makeup and messy hair and it's when she is most beautiful to me.

Here's the truth. Most men don't mind light makeup. It's the heavy, overdone makeup we have an issue with. Many women today use waaaaaaaaaaay too much makeup, and it looks fake and gross. Just don't overdo it and you'll be fine.
