Why do some men lie about their height on social media?

I guess men lie about their height mainly because it's in their best interest to attract woman. Most woman prefer tall guys because it's gives her a feeling of being protected. Therefore it's in a men's best interest to look taller then they actually are.

It's like women lying about their boob size or wearing padded bras. They think they need to do that to attract the opposite sex.

Society tends to think men should be tall, I guess because they tend to be taller than women.

Women lie about their age because they know men prefer younger women, just like men lie about heir height because they know women prefer taller men. Simple, really.
