What are some compliments a man can give a woman who is a stranger, that doesn't come off as creepy, or flirting, or just gross?

Ladies can you give examples of compliments that have come from strangers, men or women, but preferably men, cause im trying to help them out, that didn't creep you out or give you the ick?

I can give a few examples, and these are ones, believe it or not, have talked to my wife about, and its mostly because i wanted to make a stressed out waitress smile, or similar.

I keep my compliments VERY non sexual.

I will compliment a ladies hair, mentioning i like the color or the way its done.

If she has very visible tattoos, I will compliment her ink, may even ask where she got it done.

If she has a piece of clothing i like (shirt, blouse, or dress) i may compliment the colors or designs on it.

But here is the rub, I will be careful who i compliment. Especially if its someone who behaves as if she will react badly.

Keeping it to things like the above and not saying a goddamn thing about her body, i have never gotten anything but good results with compliments.

Oh. and to those that dont think its appropriate because im married, you should have a chat with my wife, she's usually the one that says "If you dont say something i will" especially if its something we both noticed.

So to restate, Ladies, what are compliments that you gotten from men who are strangers, that didn't creep you out or give you the ick? That you also didn't see as flirting? What are examples of compliments you dont mind hearing from strangers?

I would say that 1/2 of it is in the tone used to deliver the compliment and the other 1/2 is in the type of compliment.

“Nice __” (an accessory or item she’s carrying rather than her body) is a safe way to go, but make it quick and don’t dwell unless you’re trying to send out that “Girrrl, I’d jump your bones in a hot second” vibe.

“Wow I hadn’t thought of that”/“I hadn’t considered that, thanks” is a nice way to compliment something she said rather than the more popular “NIce!” guys tend to use.

Just… indirect compliments, basically. There safer if you’re not sure what to say. OR, of course, the alternative is to just smile, give a quick nod of recognition and keep on trucking.

See, there again... people have changed and almost everything you say or do to a woman is a bad thing. You just don't know if they are a weaponized feminatzi or a total men hater, or whatever else the case may be with women of today.
When I am out somewhere and a man opens the door for me to go in or out - to me that's a man that I would like to get to know.
I guess the last compliment I received in person was when he said "I like the way you dress so modest. You don't have your boobs hanging out and when you are at the table eating they don't flop out and lay on the table".

I'll only compliment women I know well, but even then I'll only compliment visible tattoos or personality.

Just make it genuine and let it flow naturally if someone takes something the wrong way or makes something into something that it’s not if their heads in the gutter. That’s not your problem and you’ll know to leave them alone so you won’t waste time on that person.

Make it genuine. Do you notice something you like about her? Her style. Her clothes. Her sense of humor. Whatever it may be

9/10 times it's about the way you say it and the way you come off. You can say "Hello, I just wanted to say that you're really pretty." with a soft smile, or you can say, "You're so hot." with a creepy smirk. It's about the energy. Keep it non-sexual, so use words like, pretty, gorgeous, beautiful, etc... instead of, hot, sexy, etc...

I generally say these to others… it depends on the situation…

Good call not to say anything about her body.

The easiest is to compliment something that’s not personal such as, doing a great job, nice car, cute dog, beautiful flowers, delicious food, wonderful suggestions, etc.

don't give compliments to someone you don't know... they always sound creepy and artificial... also if you don't know this person, your compliment can be the worst insult...
