Guys, Should I keep waiting?

For the last 8 months a guy friend of mine and I have been flirting have done some things etc but no sex. he's not moved on from his ex and he said to me “I feel bad, not trying to lead you on or make you suffer” that’s the most he’s acknowledged about my feelings for him.

should I keep holding on that he’ll date me or is he just been stringing me along this whole time?

I was in his position at one time. Told a woman to not get attached to me. But she did. When asked why she did. She said that I was the only guy that ever told her the truth!
If you really like him. He will probably come around to you. Sooner or later.

Don't wait. Even if he's not intentionally stringing you along, you don't want to risk wasting years of your life waiting.
