|(f27) was seeing this guy (m25) i met at a bar for 3 months. Like all situationships go, he started off with lovebombing and taking me out the movies and texting all day everyday. And of course, we've gone all the way physically. Then, now look back he subtly started to pull away and distancing himself from me such as not liking my ig posting while he still likes other girls', stopped saying good morning and goodnights one day, and stopped asking me how my day was or all sort of questions. Not to mention pushing off our dates.
But last week, it was 3yr anniversary of my friend's passing and i was feeling extremely sad, so i told him im not having a great day myself bc it was 3yr anniversary of her passing. (I rlly dont know what i was thinking, i thought he'd emotionally support me) Then after a few days he started to barely replying to me and eventually ghosted me after i said "it seems like you don't wanna talk to me or wanna see me" i knew this wasn't working out, and knew this was gonna happen eventually, but i wonder if me telling him that my friend d:ed triggered him to shut me down. Was it too much to handle for him that information?

He showed you who he really is. And it's super common for people to drift away from you when you're going through your own pain or loss, just like if you were to suddenly go poor overnight and lose everything, most people won't want to be bothered anymore. Actions speak louder than words. Telling him about it was a very good thing because it showed that he failed the test of being a truly loyal guy or friend or lover or whatever. And a person lovebombing you in the beginning is almost always a sure fire sign that it burn out quick - which it did for him.
I know it's probably very disappointing and heartbreaking for you, and I am sorry you're going through it, but the good news is that he really is showing you that at the end of the day he's not a good candidate for a relationship. That is a lesson learned - a sad one, but necessary nonetheless. Imagine if you guys had gone on to get married and he started doing all this once you guys had kids. Good thing you're going through it now and not later.
Sorry no that was the slow walk off. It's not about your friend. His response says that he was getting you out of his head long before that moment.
