Look at how most males that I talked to talk about how most of their male friends or all of them suck at talking about things other than superficial shit, most don't initiate contact, etc. While way more females are better at talking to each other with initiating, talk about problems and fun things. Than males wonder why they are lonely.

I think there's some truth to that, although I wouldn't generalise it to all American men. Some men can spend hours talking about sports, work and everyday things but struggle to have a proper conversation about what's actually going on in their lives. Even checking on a friend or reaching out just to see how they're doing seems difficult for some.

I've always thought friendship should be more than having someone to watch a game or grab a drink with. Sometimes you just want a friend who calls because they thought about you, asks how life is going and genuinely wants to know the answer. Why should men have to hide their struggles from the very people they call friends?
