He hasn't texted in 10 days...?

Obviously this screams not interested but let me explain...

Well basically, I went on a date with this guy and got on extremely well with him. I really got the impression he was interested too so I wasn't surpized when he texted to make sure I got home OK after the date and then a day or two after texted again to see if I wanted to go out again. Anyway, he asked me on the Wednesday if I wanted to go to the cinema on a Friday and I said I was busy but that we should go out next week. It's been 10 days though and he hasn't texted me, I know he works pretty long hours(he's a chef) and that his birthday was last week, which may be why he wasn't free but idk... Also he gets his rota on sat/Sundays so I don't know if that's it...But I feel like if he was interested he wouldn't leave it this long? What do you think I should do?

Well, think about it; did you tell him Happy Birthday? Maybe he wanted you to join him for his birthday, and that really hurt his feelings that you skipped out on him. even if you were legitimately busy, a self-conscience or sweet-and-shy type won't always believe that excuse to no fault of your own. I think you should text him, and plan something special for a belated birthday celebration. If you really like this guy, go out on a limb a little bit for him, and you will know right away if he really likes you too, based on how much he appreciates this. ^_^

I've only been on one date with him, and the awkward thing is my birthday was 2 days before his and he never said happy birthday to me. /: Not that I told him my birthday was coming up but you'd know due to fb..

He may not have noticed. My fiance didn't remember my birthday until we had been together 3 months. He actually asked me in person when it was, he never thought to look on Facebook. Some guys prefer getting to know you face to face, don't assume he knows everything ^_^ I'm sure he wouldn't purposefully forget your birthday! My technique has always been to give them the benefit of the doubt.

What I was wondering more was, do you think he might still contact me now? I'd like to think so but I feel like maybe I'm just deluding myself thinking he will after all this time...
