I am sorry that is the way your life is - My advice find out what you can achieve weight wise or shape wise through research and medical advice - Pick the healtiest program and take it slow, It is not important how you get there but the getting there is most important.
Lose it. Who cares about the insults. They point out your fatness while you work out, just be like "no shit, Im trying to lose it" then keep working on yourself, for yourself. The insults won't stop while your fat and sitting or fat and running, might as well get insulted for working on self improvement than not working on yourself at all.
its harder than you make it sound
Its not. Its really not. You'll be made fun of regardless, might as well improve your self. F- your feelings, apply yourself, and know the insults are only raining down because your helping yourself. People only try to keep you down when you attempt to rise up.
I've tried to start working out about three times. It was mostly with weights, and then after a month I just lost all motivation, partly because I lost no weight, partly because I don't know.
I tried to use that MyFitnessPal app to track my food, but I used it for a month and I forgot to input 60% of the things I ate so it was useless.
@DarkHumorRUs
same here
i lost a lot of weight but then i stopped seeing results so i stopped trying
It takes time to lose weight, you have to accept that...
People are unhappy and want to lose 20-40lbs In a month... That will never happen...
You can lose 1-2 lbs a week that is it... Factor that in when starting, if you start now you will lose 24lbs by the summertime!( Three months)
"Hey, look at you jogging and your boobies just bouncing everywhere"
Well, most people stop being so immature when you get older. Still, if there is the occasional idiotic person that says something like this while your exercising, just write them off as severely ignorant and possibly even mentally challenged. Even as a toned guy, people say stupid things sometimes,
"Why are you doing this exercise in this way?"
"Why are you training legs, it's all about biceps and chest, blah, blah, blah"
Tbh, I just do most of my working out at home now because the majority of people know fuck all about diet or exercise.
Yeah everybody gets slagged for something by strangers. People are ignorant bastards. The ones condemning the loudest usually have the most to hide as well. They need somebody to take the flack to get the attention off of them so don't worry when somebody insults you. Just smile and ignore it. You need thick skin in this world or it'll chew you up and spit you out.
@bluenose1872 exactly. I don't necessarily want to repeat the whole "sticks and stones" because I know that it is not necessarily true but in some circumstances, we certainly can deflect another's verbal abuse.
Without a reaction verbal abuse is just some nutter talking to themselves. Being ignored really takes the wind outta your sails
@bluenose1872 true
The only thing I have to say is that it's scientifically proven that fat guys last longer in bed because their body releases more estradiol, which helps inhibit orgasm.
Also, really in shape guys tend to last very, very short periods of time because their bodies make almost none of the hormone. The more buff you are, the more prone you are to premature ejaculation or only going 2-5 minutes.
that's bullshit! fat people last longer in bed cause they get tired and need a break before they bust a nut :D
@Other_Tommy_Wiseau That's funny, but completely ignores scientific data
1st time i've heard someone get the point and miss it at the same time :... it was just meant to be funny
Well if you're a big guy at an age like mine when people care less about personality
You're not getting sex anyway.. So last long all you want nobodies gonna care.
I'd rather be smaller and ejaculate faster with someone
Than bigger an take forever ejaculating by myself
I've dated a gym rat, for like 2 seconds,. And the ejaculation part is pretty spot on at least for him
@Other_Tommy_Wiseau Poe's Law, buddy. If you're going to be sarcastic, you have to make sure it doesn't come off as genuine extremism lol
@Dulcedulcexoxo Again, there's scientific data backing this up, so I'm sure it's very accurate lol
i did follow poe's law. the smily face was clearly at the end
smily face/laughing face... you get the idea
@Other_Tommy_Wiseau I don't think the smiley face was enough. I could still see an extremist using that kind of smiley face after saying something like that lol
i can't tell if you're serious or not, now... the smily face wasn't enough? that's literally the definition of poe's law
@Other_Tommy_Wiseau No, you have to sound more extreme than an extremist does. Look at Palek's comment on this post. This is an example of doing it right.

As an overweight guy myself that is getting in better and better shape as time goes on, one trend I noticed in your Take is how the words and actions of others regarding you bother you so much... to the point of making u stop doing your best to change your lifestyle!
The thin skin you have is the issue, fuck what people think when you swim and you jog! Ignore them and do these things anyway. :-D
To me it seems like your self esteem is super low. To boost your self esteem in the long term, mentally dwell on your good traits and put less focus on the bad ones.
Make the lifestyle change to eat more healthfully (as in more fresh food, less fast food and instant/pre-packaged food).
Learn to cook; either watch / read some online tutorials or ask some friends or family members to teach you the basics about cooking. Drink less sugar and sugar substitutes, drink more water and nonsweetened/sligtly sweetened tea and coffee.
Educate yourself about various foods and what they are made of, so u can make better food choices.
Exercise regularly, and make sure to get enough sleep.
-----
All these things are helping me get better and better in my physical health and fitness in all forms of life. :-P
Mentally dwell on your good traits, hehehe!
@dipta is there something funny? ;-)
I think it's a great funny expression!
First time I hear 'dwell' used in a positive context :D
If you ever want to get out of this you need to lose the weight and be relentless in working toward your goals regardless of what any random idiot thinks. It's hard, I know, but people won't change. You can either let it roll off you like water off of a duck's back, stay dedicated, get to a decent weight and be happier, or let them pressure you into staying as you are and be unhappy.
words are just cruel and i see people bigger than me getting teased and i just want to be there for them because i know what thats like
I got teased for being skinny and short, I just used it as motivation to better myself and I still do. I'm always improving in some way, because the solution to most problems in life is to become a stronger and better version of yourself. Would you join a gym? As a big guy you'd probably be a good powerlifter/strongman.
this is actually a good idea
Yeah if you train in that kind of stuff you won't get a six pack and like most powerlifters/strongmen you'll have some bodyfat still, but you'll also have a powerful muscular build which to many women is more attractive than a slimmer male model type as it. looks more masculine. I used to be skinny but ripped when I was boxing, then once I met my girlfriend I put a lot of muscle on and some bodyfat, and she prefers me now with my bigger chest and shoulders than when I had abs but was a lot smaller. She looks at bodybuilders as girly-men as do I, if you think about it training purely for vanity is girly behaviour. Training for strength changes your mindset from being focused entirely on your appearance which I was at first, to caring. more about actual strength and performance with appearance being secondary. Of course you'll still end up looking better but you'll be more concerned with how to increase your deadlift, your bench press, your squat etc. That's what helped me.
Bullying really sucks for overweight people. It is the worst feeling in the world, I would compare it to a heart break...
But dude, if you are unhappy with your body do something about it...
Diet and exercise is needed... Stop making excuses, So what if people are looking at you when you jog... that is the reason you a jogging... Or join a gym, people there will understand that you are there because you want to make a change and will respect you...
You are only 16, if you work hard now you can be fit within 2-4 years...
That is if you follow a strict diet plan, and exercise... Just eat less ( 1500-2000 calories a day max) No Sugar, No Carbs like breads, And you have to understand that it won't happen overnight... It takes time, and people will quickly start to notice when you start shedding the weight...
i expected the weight to drop quickly..
i mean within the first couple of weeks... i didn't know people actually meant it would take years... but yeah, years...
i just wish i could go back in time i warn myself about gaining all this weight
That is a mistake a lot of people make... Expect the weight to drop really fast... "20 lbs in two weeks"
When they don't see the results or gained weight, this really makes them sad...
Also they don't know how to weigh their selves... You have to be consistent, no clothes, stomach empty...( Food can add a few lbs and so can clothes)
You can't dwell on the past. You made some mistakes in your eating habits, you enjoyed eating lots of junk food and sugar, you had your fun and now it's time to eat clean and get healthy... You can't change the past but you can change the future...
You have to stop making excuses and Accept that it will take time to lose weight.
(1-2lbs a week)... The time is going to go by anyway, nothing is stopping 2017 it will happen soon...
I suggest putting your information into this website:
https://www.calculator.net/calorie-calculator.html
And follow the calories to lose 2lbs a week, so eating roughly 1700 calories a day.
i worked out today and lost 200 cals
if i eat that much and only lose 200 will that even help
Yes it will help!
Actually just by eating 1700 Cal a day you should lose 2lbs no problem.
Working out boosts the weight loss, makes you feel better and keeps you on track.
If you do weight training/cardio hard enough it will make your body burn extra calories for about a day.
It shows you how hard it is to lose 200 calories, so you will think twice about eating an extra snack and motivates you to stay on your diet.
You release feel good chemicals to your brain after working out, you will feel much better and more energized.
Um , I got teased for having big boobs and im a girl. I've never heard a girl tease a fat guy mostly guys tease fat guys. But i get your concern, but FYI even thin men today have hips and big booties because of all the extra estrogen in everything. So dont feel too bad.
Yeah guys tease girls for having breast because they're immature and later on down the line they end up slobbering at them..
For guys it sucks..
Wow... Seems like someone people would only tease you about because they're jealous. I'm sure they want it
Well that's a load of crap. I know plenty of fat guys who weren't rich who managed to get girls (and were actually punching above their weight so to speak).
Also if you want to lose the weight buy some dumbells and a pull up bar and do p90x. It worked fantastically for me and a few friends.
you dont lift weights to lose weight
you can do that but thats not what they're for
Every strength athlete I know disagrees with you. When I started doing squats and dead lifts i started dropping weight at a quick (but still healthy) rate. The heavy lifts burn calories for a long time after your done for the night. Don't lift on an empty stomach. You need to be hydrated and have a little bit of food in you, ya need fuel to do your best.
@Sixgun77 Thanks for agreeing with me. Far too many guys think they should just do cardio to lose fat not seeing it for what it is, a short term solution. I'm not saying cardio isn't necessary, it is and it's great but it's easily counteracted by having a "treat" at the weekend or whatever whereas with gaining muscle (this doesn't necessarily mean size) your metabolism increases as well and you burn more calories while resting.
Hopefully the Take Owner will read this
It's important to note - gynecomastia is a real issue for men even without being overweight. I have a patient who is 6ft2, 180 pounds and has a bust 10 inches larger than his under-bust. In order to fix it, surgery will cost the poor young man over 16,000 dollars with significant risk, both cosmetically and non-cosmetically.
My bf's a bigger dude and I'm actually pretty happy with the way that he looks. Don't be too hard on yourself. Not all of us expect a 6 pack.
That is tough for you, no doubt. But don't lose hope. Keep in mind that it's easier for guys to lose weight than women, so success is on your side! Go for it, buddy! :-)
Amen being big myself people just assume I can lose the weight.
I've also come to the conclusion women and girls are S H A L L O W
when it comes to weight most if not all want 6 pack abs or muscular
bodies but get pissed when some guys don't date overweight women.
And to all you women on here saying your dating or have dated big guys
shut up and prove it cause anyone can say their dating an overweight person.
I can say I've been to Mars but without proof no one's gonna believe me.
yes this is why i gave up on dating
except this one girl but she probably doesn't even like me
Just ask her out if she gives you a chances lets hope its not
out of guilt your in.
the way she looks at me its like she doesn't care
the only thing is she's so small
she's about 5"2
im 5"10
she's probably 150lbs max
im 291
she's tiny lol.
yeah,
she's really small
but beautiful
I to prefer petite girls but most girls and women find me ugly.
never really been into women until now I don't know how i look to them
If you're interested in exercising and running, I'd recommend that you a compression shirt, try buying a size smaller than your usual size.
It's stretchy enough to fit but tight enough that you won't jiggle when you move around.
wouldn't that expose more though
No it doesn't. It's really stretchy and covers/flattens everything.
**Then just put a tshirt over it. No one knows you even have it more.
If you're scared to go to the gym then workout at home! I recommend the Insanity workout.
https://tinyurl.com/h9r5sxn
i actually went to the gym today,
i just go before they close not many people
I honestly don't like abs. I think they look gross. I would much rather prefer a flat tummy or a little fat.
you dont like abs?
Not at all. They're a pain for males to get, and they don't look very appealing. It looks like they've fallen asleep on 6 hot iron squares.
I've seen quite a few women get bullied, by both guys and females, over there large or flat breast many times. you can get over yourself on that one.
I can understand why you'd feel insecure when working out by jogging or a treadmill. There will always be rude people. But maybe you can try team sports or hiking a mountain or nature trail regularly.
Hey, stop giving a fuck about what others think.
And probably, what others think if you is none of your damn business.
Haters gonna hate.
Live on,
Enjoy life.
Well today as adults nobody has the balls to openly make fun of a fat guy at the pool and nobody really cares. It's completely childish to make fun of people.
Not random people,
It mostly comes from people you know
Which makes it worse.. If you don't know them you don't really care what they say
