In today's society we find ourselves bombarded with extremes; if you Google the word fat the first image you would see is...
If you try slim:
And finally if you try fit, you will find:
Each extreme is equally ridiculed and praised by their appreciative fans and "haters," but what about the average women. The group of us which are told stop complaining if we can wear skinny jeans and endure the blank stares every time We mention a diet. The healthiest method to loose weight is exercise and to eat clean but then we get asked in that obviously sarcastic tone, "How small do you plan on getting?" For every girl that is neither fat, skinny or fit, here are the sad truths faced when you decide to start working out.
Average to Fit, 5 things girls face
1.) The tough love motivator
We all have them, the very athletic friend who spends more time exercising than they do anything else. Your decision to get healthier feels like something to bring you even closer together, that is until the first time you blow off your workout. The advice they give to you will sound a lot like "You will get fat if you keep skipping." This is being a good friend on their part, but to you it is a slap in the face considering a week ago they were complimenting your effortlessly flat stomach.
2. You do not need to lose weight.
The best option in most cases to do is ignore, the same people that will tell you this will turn around and tell you that your jeans are getting tight.
3. Are you trying to look like:
It goes with out saying that all of us either know or know of a slim to almost unhealthy person. We have at least a good 50 to 45 ibs on this person but the minute we say I want to drop some weight the only thing people can see is our head on that very slim persons body.
4. The right way to do it
We do this one to ourselves. It is hard to spend most of your life being healthy looking without trying and suddenly becoming a heath guru, so we go to the "expert" google. There we find an oasis of information that stress us out and make us confused more than we have ever been in our life. Personally I have done: Jogs, speed walking, HIIT, dance cardio, yoga and body weight. I have also read enough posts to write one of my own. Have I gotten fitter, marginally but I am still trying and happy for being tall enough that i never look fat.
5. I hope I am not the only but some days YouTube videos with anorexic females scare me to death
Watching a video where a person says their goal initially was to drop fifteen pounds makes you wonder a bit. Is the extra fat you see really there or are you transitioning into your own first stages of an eating disorder. This is the result of too many people telling you that your body is fine and subconsciously after these videos you wonder if they are right.
I am sure many of you average guys and girls have more things that I missed, be sure to add them in the comments section!

With all this PC "fat acceptance" going around, if you feel grossed out about your own fat or someone else's you are some kind of jerk for being repulsed by it. The anorexics are sad to see:( Being overweight is no way to live and being unhealthy is nothing to fight for or be proud of.
Well there's always a difference between a fit person and an anorexic one, so I agree with the take as in - if you want to get fit or fitter - always opt for it. But also remember - always eat healthy and don't skip meals! =)
