You have to remember that it isn’t always junk food, or laziness that makes someone fat. I am about 200 pounds and am very active and muscular. Some people call me fat but I’m really not. I was born with my mothers “curvy” body, just like some people are born skinny. My mother is about 250 pounds and she works out at the gym almost every day and helps on the farm. So you have to keep in mind that “fat” people aren’t always the ones eating the dessert, and skinny people aren’t always at the gym or have an eating disorder.
It's all in the way people think. I think skinny and healthy is beautiful and when I am stressed I take a walk. My sister eats when she is stressed and she associates happiness with eating. The more she eats the happier she gets, coke, donuts, cookies, I love food too. But I don't think that way.
Should People with Mental Illness be Called... Illegal? In my own Wise Opinion, "Fat" may Not be where it is At, because this is Another Line of "Sickness" that Sometimes people Find hard to Control, and Needs to be Addressed on a Strict Regiment, and Need help with this, maybe by Someone who can get them Back on Track. Being Thin, I can Detect This... Within. Good luck and Great question. xx
I wouldn't be placing Japan in such a high pedestal. Companies don't really control your waistline nor charge you for anything like that. If you just walk the streets, you will see people in general are getting fatter and fatter and nowadays it's not uncommon at all to see obese people everywhere, whereas back in 2008 you would only see them around fast food restaurants, convenience stores and the television, at least where I live. I'm not kidding either.
Unecessary but exercising as well as psychological help over the matter should be encouraged or even sanctioned by the dept. of health, also fixing the fast food restaurants in the states could help a great deal, no other country in the world has supersized heart stopping food and drinks, it should also be discouraged to have competitions with other countries over food, one day america invents the super hamburger and the next day UAE invents the hamburger pizza, its stupid

While we're at it, being disabled should be illegal too. I'm disabled and I can't work out. I also can't afford to eat healthier foods on a fixed income. I'm overweight, but I am in very good health, and I take care of myself. In case you're wondering, it's hereditary knee, hip, and shoulder failure. My mother has had SIX bilateral hip and shoulder replacements, and she still cannot work. I haven't needed a surgery yet, and I can still legally work a few hours a week. It keeps me active.
Can't believe you didn't mention universal healthcare it's already here in UK and could be the future for america with that it means that everyone will be paying for everyone's unhealthy habits, and there would be a serious financial benefit to make it illegal to be fat.
No but maybe on the right path. We shoukd help them not discourage them. Thats the problem we have as a society. We see a fat person and think oh well I'm way better. That person could eat healthy and still not loose weight. Maybe if they were special programs to help people and not just one big program tailored to all but for each person to get their own. Because what may work for one may not work for the rest. Simply put weightloss is not just calories in calories out.

Unfortunately with the US vs. Japan, due to cultural differences and such, even if the programs were individually tailored to each person, too many would view that as none of anyone's business because we are an individualistic society. The mere thought of group exercise, or group programming... even if each person had their own plan, but exercised together, is like an affront to the American sensibility. As another pointed out, he's a trainer and thinks more should come to him for individual help... but people aren't doing that. We have a 68% overweight/obese population. What we're doing now isn't working, so maybe not go the illegal route, but we have to at least be willing to try something else.
It should be illegal to make my takes about it being illegal to be fat lol Lol no but seriously look around the US isn't as fatbas they make you believe it is Besides the group that comes up with those statistics would consider the rock, john cena, arnold, and any other brawlic ass dude to be severely obese... their system is bullshit if you ask me

No but ignorance should be punishable by law imho. 😏 That said, this law hasn't done much because half of the people who are supposed to do consultation never go through with it. And instead of being concerned over metabolic syndrome which ironically doesn't affect all fat people and isn't a condition that is only observed in overweight people, japan should come up with a plan for its ridiculously high cigarette consumption. 30% are smokers wtf?
No, because it could very well be the fat person isn't at fault, for example swollen glands, nedication side effects, unable to exercise because of an injury, etc.. But it should be illegal for compabies to put in chemicals that make people eant more food and such things.
Factors: - Diet - Genes - Health - Activities like sports - Intake frequency and intake amount
I think it's justified to say, that it's fat people's fault for being too fat. I mean, who or what forces them to eat excessively or unhealthy? My bluntness. But I am a lightweight and skinny student, yet I do not go to McDonalds or eat junky, let alone enough. If only I was employed again, wonderful things would happen to me.
The entire food industry in the United States needs to be overhauled, before anything like that is considered here.

If only! Within a two mile radius of my neighborhood, there are three McDonald's. Imagine simply if they along with the other fast food restaurants weren't available. More people would technically be forced to do one of two things... drive farther out for junk, or simply go to the grocery store and buy real food.
I normally am against big government, but when most of the food supply is practically poison (with all the additives, sugars, artificial sweeteners, and lord knows what else), something needs to be done. The FDA is a joke.
America already jails more of its citizens than virtually any other country in the world.
The last thing they need is more ridiculous laws to make criminals.

Yes, it is not illegal in Japan and the law does not actually fine or jail the citizens, but rather the businesses they work for. Either way, as stated, it wouldn't work in America, even just the fines and such b/c we have a different culture and way of thinking about an "individuals" choice for weight gain as opposed to the one reflects poorly on us all.
No. If you want to put your health in danger, that' s your choice. And some people are naturally larger. Let their doctors decide if they're unhealthy. Not the government.
what should be illegal is making kids first and teenager then unwilling and uncapable to socialize through sports and music cos the lack of these two things (or the extremisations of both) leads to isolation, paranoia and nervous eating of shit foods but thats my onest opinion
I feel like when I'm 50, I'll want to be fat and just enjoy my life. I am small now, but I want to have the option to be fat when I'm old. Grandma's are suppose to be plump, happy and baking cakes for their grandchildren.
If you choose to be fat in your elderly years, then you'll likely have to take a lot of daily pills to manage blood sugar and other things. If that doesn't bother you, then go ahead. Be plump and happy.
It would benefit all people in general but affect the food industry! 😂😂!! People would be healthier and happier... even if they protest at the beginning... Because fat people become sad and depressed and yet they don't stop eating...

Excercise is not the answer tho. Only a small portion of it. Eating is. Weight loss is 80% diet.
Exercise is still a component of maintaining ones health. Either way, the system we have isn't working if the rates keep on increasing every year.
It should be illegal to make my takes about it being illegal to be fat lol

Um genius, though not illegal, this is about an actual law in Japan that exists if you read the take... which you didn't...
1. Some people are overweight but they are extremely healthy
2. The government should have no say on people's weight.
