Modern psychology is proving that emotions are addictive
Which is scary because the brain is often directed by these emotions
What you think is a response to how your gut feels, to how fast your heart races
Your body LEARNS these emotions. So yes they are irrelevant
When I was playing basketball I noticed my shot and everyones shot got worse when we shot from the baseline
Because there wasn't a backboard
There was more anxiety about missing
Now I looked some exercises up on how to reduce anxiety. Sprinting works
It somehow tricks the body into thinking you're safe
What do you know, I got "hot." I couldnt miss a shot.
Now when am I most susceptible to anxiety? When meeting someone for the first time
isn't that ironic because the first impression is super fucking important.
Im convinced this is why 70% of billionaires have a background in sales
They dont have anxiety around meeting new people and more importantly anxiety about sharing ideas
Wanna make someone anxious? Ask them what they think, not how they feel
Replace "how are you" with "hey man." Let them talk to you.
Then hit them with a poignant question. "Any ideas about x y z?" Watch them squirm
Its their fault for not mastering anxiety.
