When you work out your arms or legs (assuming you work them both equally) is it possible for one leg/arm to be stronger/weaker than the other?

Ok, so when I work out at the gym, I notice my left leg seems to be more painful/uncomfortable than the other after Im done. When I tighten up my leg muscles, I can really feel the muscles when feeling them with my hands but then when I tighten up the muscles on the right leg, the muscles feel weaker. I walk a lot and so I use both leg muscles equally. I barely feel pain in my right leg, but it seems like the muscles are a little weaker than the muscles in the left one.
