Not a drinker - how much did she drink?

I'm not a drinker and my friend at school isn't really one either. But she got into the party scene a bit this year lol.

Anyway, she called me, drunk, from a party and asked me to come get her. So I drove over and brought her back to the dorm.

She told me she wasn't drunk...but I had to walk her across the parking lot and up the stairs...then help her go to the bathroom, and take her contacts out...I don't think she was sober lol.

She chugged 2 beers, had 4 fingers of vodka - how much is that?, did like 6 shots, and had 3 glasses of beer mixed with vodka.

She's 5'1 and weighs probably 125. Did she overdo it?

She felt pretty awful this morning.

It was a very interesting evening.

Your friend drank enough alcohol to put her in the hospital (potentially). She drank the equivalent of 12-15 drinks, and for her, anything over 1 drink per hour is going to make her LEGALLY drunk (as in, over.1% blood-alcohol level). If she drank all this in 3-4 hours, her BAC could have been.3% or more.

The thing about alcohol is that the first thing you lose is your JUDGEMENT - it's difficult to tell what state you are in, because that part of your brain doesn't work well. Even experienced drinkers, who THINK they know when they are drunk routinely underestimate how drunk they are.

That's what I told her. This was my first time taking care of a drunk person - not on my top 10 fun things to do list. She said she started drinking at 6 when she got to the party and I picked her up at 11.

She's going to have a REAL nice day today - that hangover is going to be fierce. Make sure she drinks plenty of water and eats something light.

Yeah, I made her drink water last night when I brought her back, and took her to breakfast this morning. She has Nationals today for rugby...going to be sucky for her lol.

Oh, damn. Yes, she's going to pay well for her mistake...

Yeah...not sure how many more late nights I'm going to be willing to pull with her drunk ass. It wasn't late when I picked her up (11) but it was late (4 AM) when she stopped puking and I got her in bed. Then I had to get up at 8 to get her up to make it to her game. I feel like her mom. :p

Well, you are a good friend, BUT, you can't let yourself constantly be taken advantage of either.

Yeah, this was only the first time. And the term ends at the end of the week. I think it'll be okay. Maybe she'll be over it by Fall...seeing as she's not legal, she won't be drinking over the summer. And yeah. I'm not really okay with her drinking under the age limit but...it's not like I can control that lol.

Yea, she drank double what it takes me to get drunk and I'm a tiny bit lighter than her.
