Anyone have any success or unsuccessful proactive stories or other suggestions?
Thank you :-)
I tried Proactive (it worked!) until I realized I could get the same thing for cheaper. The main ingredient in Proactive is benzoyl peroxide. It's a longer-lasting "medicine" than the salicylic acid in most face washes.
I use Clean & Clear's Continuous Control cleanser. Couple that with a night-time face lotion that has salicylic acid in it and you should definitely see results.
My face isn't terrible, either, but it does get some stubborn breakouts along the T-zone without the cleanser.
with the high levels of benzyl peroxide in all of proactive's products it is quick to get rid of any acne, however such high levels of benzyl peroxide have very much adverse effects once stopped; the acne will come back and usually it will come back worse. Proactive is not a company i would suggest. If you want to get rid of your acne for good than i suggest you see a dr or a dermatologist who can analyze what is actually causing your acne.
Never tried proactive i used the acne.org products. The stuff is expensive but I've gotten my best results from them
Proactiv works for mile acne I had severe acne and had to take accutane.

I always breakout and proactiv did a, good job of getting rid of it until I ran out and it came back
Never tried Proactive but any cleanser with salicylic acid will work sweetie.
It's a mixed bag. I have some friends who swear by it and others use it religiously and nothing ever happens to it
