What type of headache is this?

I went to the ER yesterday because I was having severe pain on the left side- it was inside of my head (this never happened to me before). I also had this sharp, stabbing pain on both sides of my neck.

The nurse gave me an IV with Benadryl and two other medicines in the IV. The Benadryl made me cough and I became very dizzy, but it worked!!

many things, vision issues could cause pain on that left side. The pain on the neck is a side effect of the head pain. Your upper trapeziums (runs up your neck to your skull) is probably very tense and tight. The benadryl helped because it binds to the cell receptors cells to block histamine. Histamine is released doing a reaction like runny nose or allergens.

Sounds like an allergic reaction. More than likely something environmental, such as pollen or a bug bite.
