I've had sort of a cycle of depression. I get it every now and then. Mostly because of boys insecurities or feeling bad for myself in general. I like to listen to empowering girl songs and eat my absolute favorite food! Ask your friend to come see a movie with you and don't even think about skipping on that popcorn or junk food! Speaking of which, chocolate is extremely good for depression! It has natural chemicals that are actually proven to make you happier!

Watching movies/TVshows (horror yesterday and today, but fun Disney otherwise to keep me feeling cheerful)
Long drives with good music blasting so I can scream and/or sing along
Long walks, either with my dog or alone with the iPod
Playing guitar
Writing, usually poetry
Keeping in touch with friends as much as possible
Try to keep your head above water!

I honestly take an hour or 2 to just lay down and think about what im depressing about. Then I try to evaluate what I can do and leave the things I can't change. Plan and move on. :)
I get depressed often, I found what helps me is going for a long run, watching a funny TV show, recalling times that made me feel good, or just lying down and taking a little nap
watch a funny movie or stand up comedians... or find some good jokes... laughing make syou feel much better
It might sound lame, but I usually get happier after talking to random people on omegle.
