How do you get rid of hiccups?

I've had hiccups for well over an hour and a half now, I can't seem to get rid of them I've tried about everything. They hurt really bad and make my entire chest jump lol not to mention theyre incredibly loud -____________-

Hiccups suck! I'm sorry you have them!
There are many crazy suggestions to get rid of your hiccups:
-hold your breath and swallow
-drink a glass of water upside down
-think of the last time you saw a white horse
-plug your ears while sticking out your tongue

to name a few!!

It sounds so crazy but once my friend helped me stop mine by mixing my emotions, just smile then laugh then try to feel sad then laugh etc. It sounds like I'm trying to make you look stupid but It actually worked for me.

I once had hiccups and someone asked me when was the last time I saw a rabbit. Out of the blue. I paused a moment, thought, and couldn't remember. My hiccups were gone. That trick works about half the time, but only if the person isn't expecting it. Surprise will usually get rid of them.
