Is it okay to make a shower while having pimples?

Every fucking day I've got new pimples on my face and of course I'm really sick of it. Even if I don't touch them, they become red and sometimes leave disgusting spots on my cheeks.

Do you guys think I should stop making showers for a few days until the last I have, will have faded away?

you should wash your face once to twice a day, don't scrub or rub! also, try to not pick at the pimples or touch your face. get a facewash that is right for your acne/skin type, a toner, and a moisturizer if you need it. figure out the right combination (it will take a few tries) and keep using it (give each combination at least a couple weeks to see if there is improvement).

i found that proactiv helped my skin *look* healthier, but it didn't exactly help clear up the acne, just throwing that out there.

i struggled with bad acne (had a bunch of white heads and cysts and comodomes), i found that i needed to use two different types of facewash- an antioil base in the morning and a good benzoyl peroxide facewash at night and to use just toner and night and hardly any moisturizer. took my 2 years to figure that out haha.

also, you can go see your family doctor (or any doctor really) and they can prescribe you an antibiotic that will help fight the bacteria that causes acne. this *really* helped me. i only have breakouts really at that time of the month (obviously) and after they clear up, my skin is pretty clear (minor breakouts) for 2 weeks and that process starts over again. but i really recommend that if you are tired and want something that will work. it'll take about 2-3 months to see vast improvements (it has to have time to kill the bacteria and your skin has to heal), but its worth it in the end.

Thanks a lot. I've got also some brown spots post-pimples, do you think they'll eventually fade away?

I got them because while I was having white heads, they got accidentaly "destroyed".

On one of them, I've even got some dry blood.

and i double what the anon girl below me said. drinking water will make your skin look healthier too. try to drink 4 bottles a day (thats my average). i've noticed that my skin is slightly softer, will glow a little more, and my pores shrink a bit when i drink a lot of water.

they will fade away, it'll just take uber long if you let them go naturally. i've got dark spots on my jawline (where my cysts usually pop up at) that i accidently popped and they've been there for like two months now. there are creams that are supposed to help with dark spots, but i've never tried them.

i would try to wash the blood off, but if it doesn't wash off, let it sit. never pick at scabs until you feel like you *have* to bc it acne spot scabbed over because it is a wound now, not acne. so you need to treat that spot like an open sore on your face. you can even put a *little* dab of neosporin on it over night.

the same goes with dead skin- the skin is healing beneath it.

when i take my makeup off at night, i don't pick at my face at all (yes i have a bad habit i know lol) and i wait till morning to do all of that. because the 6-8 hours that i sleep at night is that much more time the skin has to heal. this method has done wonders for allowing my acne to heal faster than if i pull of dead skin or pick at scabs morning and night.

Not how wring will make it worse because oil and dead skin will build up in your pores causing new breakouts. Keep cleansing your skin, start with gentle cleansers, and work up to stronger cleansers. Use a toner with salicylic acid. And use a gently OIL FREE moisturizer. Do this twice a day, and no more. And if you keep trying topical stuff and it's not working then go to a dermatologist, because it may be hormonal

Sometimes stress is the culprit. Things as simple as drinking more water and getting more sleep can prove effective.

if you stop showering your pimples will get worse. bad hygiene will only aggravate the problem
