Strong Lifts is a program for upping the weight you can lift, not necessarily to get you cut up. If you're looking to pack on weight, you're going to have to research how to diet properly based on your body build and metabolism. Learn the difference between dirty bulking vs. clean bulking to save yourself the trouble of having to cut body fat after packing on some weight.
You're going to make newbie gains quickly, but there is such a thing as skinny fat. So if you are just eating everything in sight with no regard to what it is, you'll actually start getting some body fat building up around your core (which is where you want the muscle tone to show from the most). Go to Body Building's website and read up on gym newbie articles they have posted over there. I believe they also have a recipe database that will help teach you about dieting properly. If not, I use another site called My Fitness Pal to track macros.
Keep in mind that body building is a long term commitment, and a tough one at that. It's fun, but you can't slack ass otherwise you're just wasting your time. Weight gain comes quick in the beginning, but building good mass and fine tuning your body fat is a long term thing. So don't go into it like the typical young kid that thinks it's going to happen in 2 weeks time. And when you are in the gym, give it 150% each time. A lot of people tend to use that beginning motivation and really go all out, but they settle into a rhythm and get stagnant after some time.
Lastly, take the time to learn about body building and dieting the right way. I'm not trashing on defined programs like Strong Lifts, but I see far too many people that follow those programs to the letter with no idea as to what it's really trying to accomplish. Know how body building works so that you have the knowledge to modify workouts, try new workouts, and adjust your routines at a moments notice.

If you're skinny, you can do just about anything and you'll see results, as long as you eat properly. People don't really emphasize how important your diet is for skinny guys, but if you eat lots of (healthyish) calories and protein, you'll gain weight very quickly.
As far as the routine, like I said, it's not that important when you first start out. What is important is making sure you look up how to do everything properly so you don't hurt yourself. Things like squats and deadlifts can be dangerous if you don't know how to do them properly, so make sure you research them and start out with light weight until you get the technique down.

go to bodybuilding. com and make a profile. then choose a workout plan and follow it.
I'm a personal trainer of 4 years and have done that 5x5 program and saw awesome results in strength and size. Thing is certain things work for only so long you need to make constant progression by logically planning workouts and being in caloric surplus. Wish I could lay it all out for you but there's just too much to tell you, it'd take 200 pages. Best thing I can recommend is to google Vince Del Montes no nonsense muscle building program ( gets you 1 year of proven workout methods ebook and a meal plan for weight gain, again tried this my self and saw awesome results.) Good luck dude.
5x5 and starting strength are both good novice programs. I might suggest starting strength foe someone new.
I like skinny guys
Most girls do not like very muscular men
