I don't know if you are religious or not, but I had a lot of depressions and I didn't use to be religious neither. I gave the bible and try and in the beginning it gave no sense, no my depression is gone after understanding. I am not like those christians who don't use swearwords or goes extreme, I prayed a lot to god and I got healed after a year. No medicines
Here's the most beautiful thing about death, life and the uncertainty of it all. No one knows. Simple. None of us know for certain what the answers are. And this is what makes us all the same. Brad Pitt and Angelina are no better than us because as humans they experience the same uncertainty. There's power in the question.
Well what's nice is not having to get depressed because girls keep rejecting you over and over again, or having to deal with tests all the time, or think about your deceased family members, or worry about anything for that matter. Death has some benefits.
The point of life is to live. To experience as much as you can before you die, because to be honest, NOBODY knows what happens after you die. People might think they know but they don't really KNOW. So the best we can do is appreciate life and get as much out of it as we can - we have been blessed with the opportunity to live, which is more than enough for me. I wouldn't be disappointed if nothing happens after death, because I have lived a meaningful life
Im not religious I fear death like crazy, but I find solice in the fact that energy isent created or destroyed. So energy is just recycled. When you die your body releases dmt into your brain maleing you have a trip or as people call it a near death experience. I feel that this trip is the last thing you remember. Before your energy leaves your body and journeys fourth to create anouther since of being of sorts.
nothing good does happen after death. i friend of mine told me a story about how a relative of hers died under a couple of minutes in an accident but was brough back to life. and when she had been asked what it had feelt like being dead she had just said ''it feelt like nothing''. that terrified me like no tomorrow first. but now im just fine with it and have accepted it preatty good.
Nothing does. There is no reason to. That is what makes our time that much more special. Fuck god, what a stupid concept, and reincarnation is equally stupid, but I wouldn't say "fuck it"
Read Jean Paul Sartre, or Friedrich Nietzsche
They both had this struggle and came out on top of the world. Don't be afraid of death, be afraid that youwill not have lived.
To add something else, words like "faith" and "hope" are the most deceitful words in English . They are not the source of happiness, or true belief, as most believe. They are evil, horrid, and pathetic words that have been the downfall of many. They are useless and for the weak. Existentialism may really help you out. I would also look into actualization, there is a great guy on YouTube, just type in actualized. org and look for the video that might speak to your heart the most.
It takes courage to have faith in something. It takes courage to put yourself in position to be hurt or wrong or disappointed. It does not take courage to believe in what you see. It does not make you stronger, to not have hope for the best. I think you are scared of hope and faith. You are scared of believing something you can't see and terrified of things you can't control. Because of my hope and faith, I am not scared of death. I am not afraid to be wrong or hated. I was not terrified as my father was in a critical state of health. I had faith and hope that what was supposed to be, would be. I had faith that my dad would be okay, even if he did die. I had the courage and tenacity to look my dad in the eyes and tell him it was okay to let go when his body was fighting and failing to hold onto this life. Why? Faith and hope. It is easier to believe that he died and is now rotting in the ground. Believing that would allow me to not be vulnerable. I am not afraid of being hurt. You are.
I am not scared of death, I don't know why you made that assumption... Like I said, it is faith and hope that you hold I to because you are afraid. I don't need either, because I accept what makes the most sense. There is no point in arguing, I have thought about this for most of my life. Don't be confused though, I never struggled with it. I have just thought about it a lot. Those words weren't pulled out of my ass. I don't know why you think I am scared, but it doesn't really matter, because I am not. Like I said; it's not death ou should fear, it is to not have lived. I am happy, and I see hope and faith cause pain and stress, inseparably, every time. Once again, like I have stated, these words are very deceitful. They seem good, as they seem to you, but in reality, they have no power. What ever you think is accomplished by either faith or hope is on fact attributed to other forces, however you wrongly attribute them to faith and hope.
Well, is simple, I don't believe there's anything after death. If anything? I just think about the way we just go back to dust and how beautiful it can be if we leave the ashes in nature, it sounds more poetic than living it all in a cemetery. It doesn't sounds happy to some people to believe that there's nothing but it makes me want to do something of my life while I'm on earth.
Heaven and hell is what you make of it in life. Buddhism can shed enlightenment because you worry about in the past or future stating to keep your mind in the present and basically to detach yourself of meaningless things. I just think there are some validity in Buddhism.
I believe in God because I can feel Him in my life. Think of a baby in the womb. Do you think it can comprehend anything after it goes through birth? All it would know if that no one comes back and it wouldn't be the same and therefor nothing at all after. But of course we know now that that is not the case as life went in and was very different.

Some people who had nearly "dead"experience say they were in a place where they felt all love and peace.
If you know that one day you will die... what makes you worry so much about your life on this plannet? What don't kills you makes you only stronger. Your time is limited on the earth, try to do things u love and like and try not to overthink things!!! maybe meditation can help?

If there is an afterlife, who's to say you'll forget everything after you die necessarily?
I personally believe Doctor Who's season 8 finale gave one of the best arguments for an afterlife I've ever heard. They said, if babies were to call one another in their mother's wombs, how long would they say life is? Answer: 9 months.
In a sense, a baby's "afterlife" is being born. Therefore, we could be babies to an even bigger grand plan.
Most religions and belief systems speak of death as a transition. Also, people's reports of their glimpse at the other side gives hope. For those that choose not to believe, there is nothing. It is our choice and as I feel , worth a shot !
If you look at the facts, they lead directly to God, there is all kinds of scientific evidence towards God and creationism. Beieve me, there is life after death, where you go, thats up to you, but there is life.
nothing happens to people after death. Because they do not exist anymore. Your body becomes worm-food and your brain which gives you the illusion of having a 'soul', decays... hence, you feel nothing, because in order to feel something, you have to have a body.

www.unification.org/.../afterlife.html#quest_01 - Check out this page. It answered all my questions. If you can, even buy this guy's books. I don't think you'll regret it. :)

I don't attribute good things that happen to faith or hope. I have faith and hope that good things will happen to me due to outside forces.

Ask God to let you experience him while you are alive. If this happens you will know that an afterlife exists as well.

Nothing exists after death,
The sooner you figure this out and accept it the easier life will be for you.
Don't live your life making some magical sky-fairy happy, live your life making you happy.
