lot times that will be the problem too, if your anxiety out than
you need to whine down and just try some relaxing techniques
like deep breathing, reading a book, watch the t. v. with no lights on
but pick a program that is mystery, no comedy, no cartoons maybe
like Unsolved Mystery something similar to that one. drink warm
milk , if your hungry before bed try eating oatmeal like warm cereal.

Check if you are consuming anything with caffeine and such within a few hours of going to bed. Anything with a stimulant effect can cause you to stay away at night. I know nowadays a lot of people are hooked up energy drinks and it could very well be messing with you.

I had this one exercise in the theater class where you slowly breathe in through your nose and out your mouth and imagine different parts of your body filling with a color or being inflated like a balloon. Was supposed to help us be calm before performing, but we all just ended up tired haha.
Avoid using your phone when you get into bed... LED lights can disturb sleeping patterns.
Avoid caffeine and sugars.
Get some sleeping pills.
Stop stressing out! and think about the next day.-are you getting enough exercise during the day?
-have a hot bath or shower
-sleeping pills
-alcohol
-nothing stimulating (video games, TV, etc) at least half an hour if not more, before bed
