Girls, period question girls tmi thank u?

Ok so I started my period a couple hours ago, I noticed the color was a little off its kind of brown. I put a tampon in and 2 hours later I leak. I change my tampon and only half of it is bloody and it was kind of like mixed with disscharge?.. if that makes any since.
I'm sorry about the way tmi but I've never experienced this before it's kinda weird

Actually, your period blood can be a range of colour- everything from very red to brown to almost black. It depends on a lot of factors. The blood you're describing sounds like it had been there awhile, the colour changes the longer it's in the uterus.
Often I find when my period starts and ends it's a brown colour rather than the red. I wouldn't worry too much about it if the rest of your period is normal and you're not experiencing any kind of severe/abnormal symptoms otherwise.

Thank u, yea I'm not really cramping. I just never remember it starting out this color. Now that I know it's possible I feel better lol

It just sounds like it could be old blood. It SHOULD go away but if not, I'd go to a doctor.
