Dairy in general isn't very good for you. It's like trying to choose between coke and diet coke. One might have less calories, but it's still not good for you.
-It upsets your hormonal balance because of all the added hormones like estrogen that get injected into the cows. People like to talk about the estrogen in soy, but seem to forget that cow's milk has nearly double that.
-Milk also increases your risk of osteoperosis despite the fact that it contains large amounts of calcium. This is because milk increases calcium excretion via the urine. The reason is that milk is very acidic, while the human body is meant to be alkaline. In order to fight the acidity and return the body to its alkaline state, the body has to release a chemical that binds itself to calcium and calcium is located in your bones. So without meaning to, calcium gets leeched from your bones in order for that chemical to do its job regulating the ph of your body.
-Casein, a protein found in dairy, is known to be one of the most ingested carcinogen in north america. It increases the growth and formation of tumours, both cancerous and non-cancerous.
-Similar to the reason why your risk of osteoperosis is increased, your body recognizes milk as a foreign contaminant and therefore does not absorb the nutrients that we think we're getting from dairy, because, well... Humans are not baby cows. We aren't meant to drink cow's milk, there's really no point, and it only harms your health.
Milk's been linked to cancer, asthma, both types of diabetes, eczema, acne, obesity, heart disease, and so many more.

Well obviously in the case of milk or plain yogurt or real cheese adding sugar is not part of the process. Whole milk and whole plain yogurt are healthier than low fat. There is not such a lot of fat in them that makes it unhealthy and the fat is useful for absorbing fat soluble vitimins. Kids get sick if they have skim milk products. In the case of butter products it's better to use less than get low fat. As far as cheese goes I get low fat bc There's too much fat vs protien in it and it just becomes unhealthy quickly if you eat several servings of cheese to get an adequate amount of protien. Im a begat arraign though so I rely on cheese as a source of protien. If I did not I would just use it more sparingly and have full fat.
All the products that processed and made low fat then added sugar to cover up the fact fat is missing- which is gross and doesn't work fat is fat sugar is suave - are unhealthy anyways so it's moot. Howevr they are usually mAde with very unhealthy oil like raised Palm kernel and cotton seed oil so in those cases it's better to have the low fat but it's better overall not to have it period.
If you can find snacks made with safflower sunflower canola even corn oil then get the regular fat kind but if it's made with bad oils get low fat. But it's better just to eat things that are healthy and a, me your own snacks.
Fat is not non healthy , sugar is non healthy , read Canan Karatay.

There is a lot of debate surrounding this and you will get arguments supporting both sides. I personally believe that full-fat dairy is better for you because just as you said, the low-fat versions tend to have added sugar. It has been suggested that there is something in the milk fat that helps us to metabolize the fat and use it for energy instead of storing it. Also, you will need less of it to make you feel full.
I know fat free has a TON of additives including food dye in certain things. As for whole vs low fat I think it depends how much you're having. If you're eating/drinking dairy at every meal it's probably best not to go with whole day all the time. It can be good for you in moderation though.
If say neither I don't think dairy is really that healthy. All the hormone in it amused me to gain tons of weight and breakout like crazy. I think almond milk is best because it has more calcium, fewer calcium and less fat
Full fat is healthier, low fat has all the nutrients taken out of it and then they add the nutrients again but they are not natural.
I drink 2 glasses of full fat milk everyday. I don't know whyI prefer low fat
