In times of stress or other similar duress, I prefer to be alone. Simply put, be alone. Let go of being in touch with everyone. Turn your phone on silent and put it at the opposite end of the house, sit down by a window and just think. Better yet, go outside and enjoy nature for a bit. It's just that opportunity of silence and calm that really gets you feeling like everything is in control. Use your time while doing that to actually put things into control or realize your situation. Sometimes it's just better to get over things or drop them out of your life.
Take your own breather, it doesn't have to be meditation or exercising, though I hear those help a lot. But anything that gets you to slow down and just enjoy life. Life is finite, and really you should enjoy it for the little things rather than worrying about them.
I don't know if you're into the religious kind of thing, but know that everything is in the most capable hands possible.
My mantra for anxiety is, " I am cool, calm, and collected." And a bunch of little things like continuously drawing infinity signs (it's supposed to be calming and I find it actually is) or comparing and contrasting things/people around you.
Hope you feel better, bud. I know anxiety sucks a load, I go to school 30 minutes early to sit in my car and say my 'mantra' over and over again every day. But if you really have to worry, worry a lot and make sure it's worth every second.

The reason your not happy, is because your not doing the right things for yourself. Your not going out and achieving goals for yourself, and achieving them. Humans by nature are selfish, and if we go against that, we become unhappy, because we are not filling our own needs first. Instead we worrying too much about pleasing others, friends, family etc. We also rely too much on others on making us happy, and that we never happen. You take responsibility for your own happiness.
If your not for filling needs, you then become unhappy.
Injecting 3 to 5 whole marijuanas into my pee pee.
KIDDING, just kidding.
For me playing video games would help me feel better when I would have moments of depression and anxiety. As for long term, I actually have not experience depression in over 4 months all thanks to this girl I'm talking to. Man.. she means the world to me. I actually haven't cried myself to sleep in months, which is HUGE for me.
But yeah video games are pretty great :)

I run, box and sometimes just try to clear my mind just relaxing and playing with the kids. If my mind is feels over stimulated I play video games too. Just find more things you enjoy. Don't mask it. You have to battle them.
