Once you reach your ideal body, how long should your daily workouts be to maintain?

I'm naturally thin, but have been working hard to tone up my shoulders, stomach and butt. Once I reach my goal, do I just keep going where I left off (no more, no less)... or do things change intensity to "maintain" the body.. such as a quick 20 min workout a day instead of needing 40 min a day?
