I'm with WeaponZero on this one. I've been working hard at being fit since I was in middle school and I've had my "ideal body since I was about 15 years old. If all I cared about was how I looked in a bikini or skinny jeans I would have given up long ago and I never would have found the balance and motivation I needed to keep up an active lifestyle afterwards. Being able to do more pushups and pullups than boys, and watching the number of pounds I can lift go up rather than monitoring the number of pounds on the scale, and being able to run for longer, those are the things that kept me active.

Try to get in some cardio 30 min a day and keep doing some weight training to build muscle cuz muscles is what burns fat.8 to 10 reps build muscle while 12 to 15 maintains muscle. Running wise, mix in sprints 2 times a week.
I think once you reach a point where you look the way you want you should stick to working out hard because of functional reasons. The fact is vanity is a pretty poor motivator and people who don't yearn for measurable increases in strength and endurance often yo-yo back and forth once they reach their ideal look. In other words this question is totally irrelevant because once you get to that point your priorities should shift to things that have nothing to do with the way you look and instead push for increases in athletic performance.
There is no one answer. I personally think everyone needs some intense exercise every day, but I go heavy on weights, which means my workouts are an hour at minimum given the required rest periods. As far as maintenance goes, food is a more important part of the equation. A good diet combined with about 4 hours of intense work a week would probably keep anyone fit.

Once i reach my ideal body, i will probably go from daily 2 hour workouts to half hour workouts a few times a week- consisting of only jogging and weightlifting.
To maintain your current state, you have to eat just enough calories to maintain. Keep doing what your doing just up your cals if your at your ideal look/weight
As often as possible, and keep your diet in check
