If you want to gain some mass to your booty and thighs you have to start eating a lot of protein and working out with heavy weights with low weights. Squats are great but there are NOT the best glute excercise in the world. You can still do squats but try other excercises too like step ups, glute kick backs, leg raises, hip raises, leg presses, and etc. you dont want your body getting used to the same old excercise and weight so make sure you bump up your weights and change your excercises here and there. A lot of people still get confused about the sets and reps i personally do 3 sets of 8 on some excercises other times i do 6 other times i do 10 or 12. But its always around 6-12 reps. Make sure you are eating healthy too because muscles are built in the kitchen also and make sure you have rest days. Your muscles grow the most while resting. Protein shakes are okay, try buying a mass gainer? I went from 33 inches (my butt) to 40 inches in five months and for my thighs 19 inches to 22 inches in three months (my main goal was my butt). I'm in the same situation like you. I can't eat because i'm stressed and I'm already thin, and I lost more weight. But I think if you eat healthy and more you'll gain you weights back, not need to take proteins.
Squats are fine. Protein shakes? Well make sure you get the right one with not much added shit. Flavor it yourself.
if you want good bum then start going to kfc order yourself some bucket chicken
