The main aspects into losing weight is logic and patience.
Logic being:
Drink plenty of water before eating. This will cause you to feel full and therefore you won't eat as much.
Eat decent portions of food. For ex: If you usually eat 2 sandwiches for lunch. Cut it down to a one. Add in loads of fruits or a simple snack bar. The cutting down of food depends on what your daily eatin' diet is. If you have a lot of sugary stuff in your diet. Add in vegges and fruits and lay low on the sugar.
NEVER EVER eat in the red zone ~~> 6pm - 9pm. Feel free to drink water during this period BUT do not eat anything! If you are determined to lose weight. Its best to avoid any type of heavy food during this zone.
That's the diet bunch. Now you have to be very honest and clean cut about exercise! Make sure you maintain a cardio routine! Cardio is very important! Personally, running is the BEST way to get rid of the excess fat! But, steppers, jumping, or trainers are great too! As long as you are keeping a sweat its good!
If at gym: go for the lifting at moderate weights and feel free to try different things with free weights and the exercise ball.
If at home: basic sit ups or push ups. Clave lit ups are a great start.
Patience is VERY important in losing weight! You will NOT lose 10 pounds in one day! If you lose weight in a healthy way. It takes about 2 months to lose 10 pounds. Then you possibly won't lose much after another 3 months. During that. You will have to only maintain our weight. Then after that time period you will lose more weight rapidly! It works out to be the best! But this will only happen if you continue with your weight loss plan.
Trust me you will FEEL great and you'll be very veery happy.
Good Luck!

First of all- just have it in your mind already that to keep off a couple of pounds for someone a little chubby is MUCH harder than someone who is obese and trying to lose weight. You have less to lose and it WILL definitely take longer!
Losing weight all starts with diet. everything the previous comments have said is good advice.
for workout tips, join a gym! You don't have to hire a trainer, but the gym gives you a positive and social atmosphere to work out in. I always take the classes because they are motivating, and I know that I will be less likely to let myself quit. I guess just know that what you look like isn't all there is to life, even though most people think so. love yourself for who you are and don't let others change your perception of yourself.
Some tips:
When hungry, drink a glass of water first, then wait about 20 minutes to see if you're still hungry. Sometimes you'll think you're hungry, but you're really dehydrated.
Eat slowly, take in the first bites and enjoy the food. If eating out, cutting your meal in half before eating and eat that half (slowly), then take the other half home for dinner or your next appropriate meal.
Alternate your workouts. Don't do cardio everyday or toning everyday. One day set aside to walk or run about 2 miles, the next day do your toning.
Go slowly, quick bursts don't get you as much done when toning. Sit ups are best for starting your toning, then work in the dumbells and push ups after you've gotten good at sit ups. 20 is a good number to start at, gradually increase your amount. And don't stop at twenty, if you still feel good, go until you feel a burning. Whenever you feel the burn, push yourself to do 5 more (of anything).
For shaping your waist and but, an exercise ball works. Try an up and down sliding forward motion while siting on the ball. Doing a criss-cross sitting style on top after that will help you balance. When you feel balanced, do a circular motion with your hips (like a bellydancer).
The work out is the most important part. The food cuts the calorie intake, the work out cuts the weight. Oh, eat brekky. By doing so you can do your work out just before lunch or dinner. You need energy, not a full stomach while working out.
Lol so easy don't bother about it just don't stress your self and don't eat fast food like my girl friend do after she wine about getting 6 pound ohhh big deal.

My regimen:
*workout before breakfast so you burn yesterday's fat and speed up your metabolism
*weight training before cardio. I don't know why someone told me it was better lol
*60 minutes of cardio at least 5x a week
*strength train everyday but don't do the same muscle groups 2 days in a row
*eat clean.
*cut carbs when possible. Don't be crazy about it, but choose a salad before you go for the sandwich. If you have to eat bread go for whole wheat and brown breads before you get white breads
*no fried foods
*cut sugar and saltHealthy diet-
meaning eat plenty of veggies and fruits and make sure to include a variety
Cut the sweets-
don't completely cut them out but keep them to a minimum
Drink Water-
stop drinking soda and sugary beverages, they often contain many empty cals so replace them with plenty of water
Exercise-
try doing exercise at least 4 times a week even if it's just walking for half an hour. I'd try to do a mix of weight lifting and cardio.
Hope I helped and good luck lady! Here's what I do
i don't eat any fast foods, desserts, processed (except meats, dairy, vegetables)
no soda or any energy drinks
run at least a mile everyday
as long as your BMI is ok you shouldn't worry too much
basically I've eliminated the top of the food pyramid from my eating habits
hope this helpsJust an addition to those training tips, try to find a workout-buddy so you keep more motivated.
I have been overweight all my life until recently. I went on the atkins low carb diet and have lost almost sixty pounds. If you go on this diet and walk or run a little you will look great in no time
