Could drinking ONLY tea (home made) make me sick? or lose weight?

Since my mom decided to publicly announce how much weight I was gaining, I decided to take it into my own hands and shed a few pounds. Anyways I've been drinking mostly tea and no food (except for a small mcdonald fry) for the last 36 hours. I feel kinda sick but I also feel either extremely energized or tired at times. If this is going to make me sick please suggest other diets? Also don't say working out because I already do cheerleading and run 4/7 days a week.
Could drinking ONLY tea (home made) make me sick? or lose weight?
