I think this is really a matter of slowly pushing yourself to do more and more. Hopefully you have a sympathetic coach who can support you through this. Most sports are more mental than physical anyway.
Did you talk to your doctors? Did they say it will be ok? Or what the chances are if you hurt it agin?

Ask your physiotrerapist and trainer for a good and safe reintegration program and nothing will happen. And listen to your body. It will tell you if you exagerate.
