    I'm sorry but for those of you saying "cardio is the best", this is definitely WRONG, according to the scientific literature. The best way to lose belly fat is to concentrate on lifting heavy 3-4 times a week and following a diet based on carb cycling.

    Cardio may seem better, since it spends more calories AT THE TIME YOU'RE DOING IT. But it's the objective o science to separate the essence from the appearance of things.

    Diet and exercise. Eat healthy and use portion control. Exercise regularly. Jog, walk, or bike. Remember there is also fat between the organs, so that will go away first! The visible belly fat will start to go away after you've worked the inner fat out. Don't give up!

      If you've built enough muscle there, yes. Building muscle and losing fat are two different things, especially in the abdominal area.

      So could I feel the 6pack muscle by things I do everyday but just not see it? I do have a OK look with my upper body but just not with my belly. And I'm told I'm strong for a really small body size

      You could! In high school I had some belly pudge, but I could feel the muscles underneath and they were pretty strong! We used to do 200+ situps a day. Even if you may not have a full 6 pack underneath, your muscles could still be really toned!

      I drink lots of water and diet green tea and a soda every other day I try to eat good (hard to) and I'm really active but I still have a belly :-( oh and I don't work out

      Try joggind, biking, or swimming! They're really great cardio activities and they'll help if you do them regularly! You county should have a health department and they usually offer their fitness center for free.

      That's a good start! If you try walking a bit more a week and try jogging some, it will definitely help!
