Can you burn belly fat while sitting?

So, I was going to go do some jump rope, but my mom said no because its the hottest part of the day, and she doesn't want me getting heatstroke. Any Ideas?

You really can't JUST burn fat on your stomach. You have to burn it everywhere.

Technically, you're always burning calories. Even while you're sleeping, although in low amounts. Maybe just some upper body movement.
