do you lose weight by going vegitarian?

So i eat meat, but i also have a very balanced diet and in general eat very health (i dont eat junk food, everything i eat is made from scratch, i only eat sweets once a week, i drink once a month) and i work out about 3 times a week.

Im moving soon and starting uni in 6 days, ut from former experiences i use a lot of money on food. So i was planning to cut down a lot on meat and since im lactoseintolerance im not going to buy diary products.

Anyway, i want to lose som weight too,, but without actually dieting, so do you think i can see some big differences if i only eat meat once a week?
