Did you ever had acne? If yes, how did you treat it using natural remedies?

I'm 14 years old and i have acne. It's not that bad, I only have zits on my forehead and between my eyebrows.. The zits appear to be small reddish bumps scattered across my forehead. They are usually gone after a few days, but the problem is, they always leave scars even if i don't pop them. and after a few zits are gone, many more will appear later on.. it's really frustrating because it seems like i'm the only one who has acne here. any suggestions based on your experiences please...

I've heard that toothpaste can dry out pimples, but it can also burn your skin (personal experience lolol). Potato slices can also help, but you have to use them daily. But if you, like me, have NO PATIENCE for these things, I recommend a spot treatment or acne lotion from Burt's Bees. It's slightly pricier, but Burt's Bees's products are usually really good quality and works too. If your acne is really flaring up, look for a spot treatment with more salicylic scid (i think that's the ingredient). However, everybody's skin is different. I used a product with 10% of that ingredient, and it didn't work as well as one with only 1%, which I found strange bc my face breaks out really awfully sometimes. Good luck!

i used to get those horrible purple scars too... the good news is that they do go away!

I used to just use clean and clear soap twice a day and it took care of itself :)

Acne is a fact of life... another option you have is to see a doctor... at 14 my mum had me put on Minocin MR and it helped massively. Later when I was still getting some, they put it down to hormones and popped me on Dianette which is a mini pill but not a reliable contraceptive :)

I used to have really horrible acne. I had to take anti biotic pills prescribed from my doctor and after six months of taking one each day my face began to clear up, so that's a suggestion.

I went on a anti-biotic called Purbac- not sure if you have it but speak to your doc about meds you can take that will work fast...

I start to not wash my face every night because it dries it. Works for me.
Tire yourself during the day so by nighttime you get a good night sleep.
