Opinions on a fruit and vegetable based diet?

hey everyone! So I am trying to lose weigh but is so hard to find motivation! I just bought a book that is supposed to help you lose weigh. The first 2 weeks you are supposed to eat just fruits and veggies, I did this for 4 days with great results, but then I had a camp and I broke the diet, so I wanna start it again, what are your thoughts? I want to lose around 7 kg, which is around 14 lbs I think... but the thing is if I dont see results fast I just give up, that is why I wanna do this diet. At the same time I wanna try the 30 day shred by Jillian Michaels, what do you reckon?
