How can I control binge eating disorder?

I've been suffering severely from bingeing and I have no idea how to stop it. Sometimes I can go without bingeing for a week but then it would start again. Please help!!

Binge eating is a result of dieting or restricting yourself of certain food choices. It can also be a result of a habit that you formed over a certain period of time. This triggers the part of your lower brain (area that sends out urges to eat) more than what is considered a normal urge. Your upper brain (pre-frontal cortex) which controls voluntary movement should be dominant and represents your true self. The trick is to stop acting on the urges given off by your lower brain. You should also emotionally disconnect yourself from the desires to binge. Those thoughts that tell you to binge are just neurological junk, nothing more. That neurological junk should not dictate YOUR decisions to binge. The thoughts and emotions generated by the upper brain should be separated from the urges generated by the lower brain. It's kind of a form of self control that is learned over time. You need to break the habit before your completely resolve it. Hope I made some sense. I believe you can overcome this if you are determined. Reading the book, "Brain Over Binge", helped me a lot and I truly recommend it if nothing else works. Good luck!

go see somebody. Nobody can fix your problem, especially over the internet on this site. Its up to you. I actually used to binge myself. But i have a lot of self control so i could stop if i wanted to. My best advice... Find out why you are binge eating. If it is because you feel you shouldn't eat the things you do... Change your diet. Eat clean. Drink lots of water no matter what.

Make sure you have a decent breakfast, lunch and dinner. For breakkfast I would recommend muesli as its quite filling and will keep you full until lunch. also try to avoid eating a few hours before you sleep.

Seek professional help. A therapist will be able to give you specialized methods specifically to treat your disorder.
