Can computers and cell phones 'cause eye damage?

I use my computer a lot and I started wearing glasses due to blurry vision, I can't see text that's a little bit distant from me, so my question is, if I leave my computer, if I start to stare at far away objects more often, will that bring my normal vision back?

Yep definitely, the radiation of light cause eyedamges. In my case when i work continuos in computer my eyes felt like it is burning and it becomes red and my eyes felt very tired even though my body is not tired at all. You have reached the age wher your eye power becomes fixed. So u can eat lots of green veggie , vegetables contain vitamin A. And also u can opt for LASIK surgery which will completely cure ur problem but it can create a problem when u have cataract and need to operate.

What do you mean "becomes fixed"? No I don't think I want any surgeries :(

I mean that according to my dr. the eye power for far sightness will not be more after 23 years of age, it will remain constant.

Regular eating of green vegetables, fish oil , vit a and if u watch at the green trees for 5 to 10 mins regularly can restore ur eye power. but if it is very bad then it will improve but not fully recover.

yes, my mom was 1.75 then after like 6 monthes she changed her eyesight to.5 from looking a far, like 20 feet

computer staring and reading books, i think staring at anything close will make you nearsided. I'm 6.75 because of computers lol

yea, unless you damaged your cornea. But i hear if your eyes change shape , get more oval, that's the main reason you become nearsided. They also have those contact lenses you wear to sleep to help fix your vision by pushing your eyeball back to its natural circular/round shape.
