Instead of three big meals a day, have six small meals at regular intervals to boost your metabolism. Also, cut juice out of your diet and drink a lot of water. Using your brain burns quite a lot of calories even though you're not moving; so sudoku is a good idea. If you're cold, your body will use more energy to keep warm so maybe sleep with the heater off at night.

Lots, but without knowing you it is hard to be more specific. You would be surprised how many calories you can remove from your diet if you stop drinking soda. going for a walk once a day is also an easy way to burn of some extra energy. If you want to work a little harder at it you will lose it even faster.
