So yesterday I had to do a medical exam and they had to take blood from me. You know I'm not scared of needles, I've pierced my face and ears so I'm not scared of them 😂 and I've had my blood taken before so I was like eh it's fine. He had to take three bottled for me while everyone else had only one but that's because they had to check my blood for more things. When he changed the tubes to fill another he literally kept pressing the needle in the wrong way and it was so painful. And when he took the needle put it hurt so bad and I didn't understand why at all. So you know they press a cotton bud om the spot and tell you to hold it while they get a bandage. I'm used to takING the cotton off so the guy can put the bandage. When I did that blood ran down my whole arm. So my question is has anyone else had this? Because after that my arm swelled up so much and it hurt so bad and my mum told me he pierced my vein on the inside.
So can I slap him please 😂

The needle used to take bloods is far bigger in diameter than a piercing needle.
Please remember whilst yes it's not nice to you and I understand it was quite painful. people even Doctors and nurses are not perfect. It sounds like he may f gone through your vein. Be careful and watch it over the next couple of days if the pain and swelling don't reduce then go to A&E you may have a clot.
I give blood regularly and have a high pain threshold so iam quite often asked for trainees veto practice on me.
It is pain full if they go right though. But they heal well in this area that's why they take it from there.
One other thing is that you may be a little low if your unwell any way and your immune system low. So will not clot so well.

I showed my doctor the bruise and she said wasn't anything serious but she has noticed her patience getting these more often and she had sent a complaint to the lab about it

It's nt easy taking blood three times, and it's easy to accidentally hit a major vein. Everyone makes mistakes.

You shouldn't even joke about slapping him. For sure you'll leave the clinic in handcuffs.

I had something like that happen once, most of my forearm went purple for a couple weeks...

It would be nice if you could slap him, but unfortunately you can't...

I have bruising now and it extends everywhere so maybe he pierced my vein more than one place
