Try not to feel self conscious about it. People don't see as much as you do. They're looking at a lot of things, your smile, your hair, your shape your hand movements. Unless you tell them, it isn't something they focus on.
Like yesterday I noticed a friend suddenly put on eyeliner, and it made her eyes pop! I mean, I suddenly noticed how gorgeous her eyes were. I said she looked really great, except there was a smudge on her left eye. She was mortified and immediately said she was trying to cover up a huge blemish on her forehead that got infected. I was like? what blemish?
I had chicken pox acne all over. I suffered in my HS years. Once my hormones calmed down at about age 20, my face got nice and smooth. Many people even say I look great without makeup, but I still don't believe them. I have yet to find a matching shade.
it's impossible to clear acne overnight, Why did you start trying to clear your acne 3 days before your date? You should have started a long time ago because obviously it's impossible to see results in 24 hours. If you don't want him or her to see that you have a zit, You're going to have to put concealer on it and foundation, if you don't have those, then oh well, they'll have to see you have a pimple.
If I were your date I wouldn't care at all. I personally don't like makeup at all and if I can see flaws on a woman's face then good. She's human and not a doll.
But unfortunately most guys don't think this way and I can't anymore understand why. I'd suggest to just go as you are. If it's the sole reason he doesn't like you then his loss, he's an idiot then.
Pop the zits (it's very satisfying) and let all the puss out or whatever, let it heal, that's the best you can do.
And don't worry. Everybody has acne. It's a part of life. You'll be fine! :)

I use a 10-11 dollar spot treatment, it'll reduce it but it isn't going to clear itup overnight. Unfortunately, unless you know some miracle product, that's impossible. I'd say get a concealer or a spot treatment. I personally used Clean and Clear's acne spot treatment.
I have two simple masks I use on my skin and no problem with acne. First one is matcha powder with water, second is activated charcoal with water... simply mix the ingredient with enough liquid to form a paste and apply - it works great! It's my go to after-party/hangover! :)
My sister had some really bad acne when she was younger. Proactive never worked and then we found something called Effaclair which works wonders. You can find it at CVS for maybe $40? But it does dry out your skin so make sure to moisturize in addition to using Effaclair. Get Effaclair duo which is a cream but there are other types of stuff like toners, and face washes.
Go for natural stuff.
Some lemon and sugar is good. Just don't expose to the sun, the sun will burn your skin with the lemon lol
Use honey too and some camomile tea to clean your face
