If I am 26? It would just be weird starting with kids and stuff I'd think, but knowing martial arts would be great.

You can learn at any age. I started at around your age, and frankly, found it to be transformational, an all round holistic exercise, plenty to get your teeth in to, conditioning on physical and non physical levels. My health and self confidence have dramatically improved. I carry myself totally differently!
Depends what your intents are really. But wholesome and sustained progress is non gimicky and slow. Kung fu literally means hard work! But a number of small changes lead to a big change, as they say.
Learn how to fajing and you'll be able to generate a phenomenal amount of power :D

No way! Go for it!! I went back to college at 28. All the kids there were ten years younger. Step out and do it for you. It's your life, so enjoy it!
