I'm fairly sure that this 8 glasses thing is fairly arbitrary. In fact, I should imagine, with some constitutions it can be downright unhealthy! Just stop eating toxic inducing stuff in the first place if 'de-toxing' is such a necessity! But yes, tea is fine. But if it's caffeine laden... then you have that problem. A nice bit of green tea is good for the soul. By all means, drown your organs in that. It reaches the very centre of your being, your soul laps it up, I assure you!

Actually yes, if it's relatively weak tea (the way it's normally made in the US). I've read about this specifically because I also dislike drinking water but I love tea. Tea hydrates very effectively.
The 1-8 cups a day rule is bogus in my opinion. The best way to see how much you need to drink is (your body weight x.67). The answer is the amount of ounces you need! I drink about 85oz a day. This can come from food and drinks, too. So to answer your question, yes it does count! But it is not as healthy as just straight up water. Hope I helped!
Well if you eat something sweet, water will taste very good so you can try that. It works for me.

yes, No one really follow the 8 cups a day but will have it other forms. 5 cups off tea. and 3 water works.
