anyone else had experiences with this or how did you get your teeth white ?
Tooth whitening was a scam? or what?
anyone else had experiences with this or how did you get your teeth white ?
Well I am really sorry to tell you that you wasted your money. I assume they used the light if it is one of those places I see at the mall. Well the light actually does nothing. It has actually been documented in dentistry journals that the light is pretty much useless and just for show. The actual bleaching agent needs to be used more then just one time to see a difference. The active ingredient in over the counter bleaching agents such as Rembrandt (not the toothpaste the bleaching stuff) is the same that the dental offices use only at a slightly lower concentrate so if you still have your trays go buy some of that and use it for about 2 weeks or whatever the directions say on the box. You will see a difference hopefully then. Some stains are not going to change due to bleaching ( they could be cavities or demineralized enamel, or even white filling that have turned dark). You should go to your dentist to have them cleaned first and checked to be sure they are healthy. BTW whitening toothpastes don't do anything to whiten teeth they just remove external stains and even then not very well.
I think they used a light and some paste or gel of some sort , I also have some fillings that they said wouldn't change colours and I'd have to go to dentist to fix them but still there was almost no noticeable difference , I'd likely have to go there a lot of times at $ 80 before I saw any improvement
well, I got a take home whitening kit from my dentist. They had made a mold of my teeth and everything, cost me $100. It took like 3weeks, even after that I didn't see THAT much of a difference in the colour of my teeth. I went back and a dental assistant who has never seen my teeth before mentioned that it looked like they were whitened, so I guess it did work. But then she went on to tell me that for some people the process can take longer, especially those with more enamel/stronger teeth...since the whitening agent would take longer to penetrate through. So considering what I learned from her, I'm not really sure if I think you got scammed. But also, down here...i know those 1hr sessions cost waaaaaaaaay more than $150. You should ask a dentist
No, I don't have any experience with this.
But what I think works at a low budget would be the whitening toothpastes.
Crest Whitening toothpaste seems to be good.
I use to steal some of my old roommate's Crest Whitening toothpaste and brushed using it very often (like each each time I enter and leave my dorm, lol). Then my teeth was NOTICEABLY whiter. I highly recommend this, lol.
Geez that is expensive, and no improvement, try doing some online research ..
I did do some online research and actually found this place online , they also had a $ 20 off special cause I was a college student

plus white 5 minute speed whitening gel gets the job done. you can use it however often you want (i've been slacking!), and I recommend using it for like 15-20 minutes rather than 5. I found this link helpful. also, if you happen to have retainers, they work a lot better than mouth guards like she recommends.
Oh, and it's under 10 dollars for a tube, so what do you got to lose?
It takes many sessions to get your teeth proffessionally whitened.. I would say try rembrandt whitening trays! I love mine :)
Yeah that's the problem they don't mention how many sessions its going to take or how many shades improvement would be seen over that time , it seems like this place just wants you to throw endless moeny at this
Also how about trying an electric toothbrush -you can get ones with special polishing heads for extra whitening. Use that with some pearl drops whitening toothpaste?
i take it you have tried all the available tooth pastes ?
Well I have been using crest whittening tooth paste for a couple years but it hasn't done much good so far . I also asked at the teeth whitten plcae if they had any toothpaste and they said go a pharmacy
