If I'm still single, when should I start considering having a donor insemination?

My homecountry also has clinics performing that. It's not far behind from technology.
As much as I would like to form a family with the right person, I'm still living my option open to having that process done on me if needed. I don't mind raising a child alone with my career.

I'm currently 29 years old at this moment and will turn 30 on April 7. Honestly I'd rather have my own child than adopt one. I believe adoption should be served if there was no way I can ever be pregnant.

I don't mind having a boyfriend later on and wouldn't like to ever rush a man into marriage and kids but in terms of conceiving a child, that's one thing I really don't have too much time.

The best environment for a child to be raised in is with a Mother and a Father. They need that balance. Children of single parents are much more likely for example to develop mental health issues, to commit crime, to develop addictions to alcohol and drugs, to engage in sex much earlier, to get pregnant earlier etc. It creates so many problems. I don't think it's a good idea at all, especially when you'd be career focused as well - who would be looking after your child? Would you be paying a stranger? What's the point in having a kid at all if you're not the one raising it? I understand what you're saying about time and not wanting to pressure a man into it too soon out of desperation, but you also have to consider what's best for the kid.

I was actually looking into surrogacy a lot for when I'm in my 20s as it seemed like my only chance of ever having a child. (I would like to be a younger parent I think. In my 20s anyway).

But. Single fathers cannot have surrogacy / adopt here because sexist reasons. Ugh. So I'm fucked. Haha.

I don't know matey. Whenever you feel like it I suppose. If you have an age where you want to be a parent before then go with that. I wish it was quite as easy for guys to become single parents as it was for women 😕

Unfortunately here in the UK only couples can go through with surrogacy. Because apparently men are not capable of being good single parents like a mother can? I don't know. Bullshit sexist bullshit is bullshit. Haha.

Eh. I don't know what I do. I can't have surrogacy and I can't adopt so I can't really ever have a child. Sad reality I gotta accept!.

Thank you. When my time comes, whether I gave birth with the right man or through artificial insemination, I'll be still glad to be a mother. I guess the only thing with the 2nd option is I'l one day have to be honest with my child if he/she were to ask for the father and how they were born since kids always ask.

Aye. I thought about that too. I liked to thing as they got older and more mature (late teens) they would realise that the same thing which caused them to be raised by a single parent is also the only reason they exist. And perhaps they would appreciate that. That's what I liked to think anyway.

I think you have to do what you need to do to make yourself happy at what age would you start? I will be turning 30 next year as well and I already told my husband to be that we wouldn't be able to wait to long after getting married, because it doesn't always work on the first try etc...

Probably somewhere in my early 30's. If I'm still single by then or found a boyfriend but he doesn't want marriage nor kids (or is is making me wait forever) then I'll start considering it.

If you're in your mid twenties then I'd say it's a bit late since I personally think 40-45 is a fine age to have the last child. But don't let not having a man stop you from having a child.
