How do I get an infected wound to heal faster?

I got a little prick on my finger that seems to have gotten infected. It hurts and it's weeping clear fluid and a little bit of pus. It's annoying. What, in your experience, remedies this?

I know people on the internet like to answer with "GO TO THE DOCTOR YOU IDIOT! YOU SUCK!! YOU'RE A STUPID POOPYFACE!!! WHY DON'T YOU JUST GO TO THE DOCTOR!!!" whenever anyone asks for advice about a wound. Doctors are only in during business hours. When I'm working. I'm not gonna give up hours of pay because of a little finger prick.

Pour some Hydrogen peroxide on it.
Then, smear some anti-bacterial lotion/paste on a bandage/tape and wrap your wound.
Check after a good 24-48 hours. Be careful with unwrapping it, especially if you used tape.

If you dont have any hyrdogen peroxide (which you can get at a walgreens/cvs or walmart) then you could put your finger in some very hot (as in just before it becomes scalding) water or something else that will kill everything in the wound.
If you are using hot water, dont be a bitch. Keep your finger in there and move it about for some time.

And neither should you. It will heal in due time unless you have HIV. Alcohol cleans wounds pretty well. Bacteria and fungi don't like it.

Boil water and add a good amount of salt. As soon as it's cool enough to stand soak your infected finger at least twice a day.

Clean it with hydrogen peroxide and then cover with antiseptic and a bandaid.

HOWEVER: if you start running a fever or the infection doesn't go away you will have to go to the doctor.

Use perixide to rinse and clean it and if your gonna do something dirty like I don't know work on cars or something put a bandaid over it do it stays clean

well first of all before that even happens you should have hit it with alcohol or cut open an antibiotic pill and scattered it on there.

Yeah :/ Hindsight is 20/20. I've never had a wound get infected before :P In the past, stuff like this has always healed no problem without any sorta treatment

Get some betadine. Rub it in the wound. You may need to open up the wound to let it drain and douse it fully with the betadine. It's possible that the infection will spread though.
