Period acting up or what?

Last month I got my period that was due but it was unusual, it was way lighter than my normal period. The appearance was also diff like brownish dark pink. Lasted for 4 days like spotting. I'm also regular. This month it came late like 4 1/2 days late and it came the night after I had intercourse with my man. It was light still and a brownish pink. Today (2nd day) it's pretty much going away and I had no cramping except on the first day for like 20 min but that's it. What could this be? I'm going to get Pap smear test this Thursday so I'll see but any ideas?

The crazy thing about periods is that they are unpredictable in some poeple and as constant as the sun rising in others. It's possible that the blood is drying faster than normal, hence why you are seeing brownish colour. It could also be old lining too, however if your intercourse is unprotected, it may mean that you could have implantation bleeding. I would recommend that you bring up these concerns with your doctor when doing the pap smear test so that they can investigate further.

Usually though, it is nothing to worry about as hormonal levels fluctuate, especially if you have started birth control.
